September fundraiser to benefit St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officer who was shot by another officer

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Ethical Society of Police is hosting a cigar social fundraiser to benefit St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) officer Milton Green who was shot by another officer while assisting an arrest on June 21, 2017. Officer Green sustained serious injuries, which ended his police career. The fundraiser on September 23 will be held at Montrey’s Cigar Lounge in Ferguson from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Officer Green and his children.

Prior to his career ending injury, Officer Green was his family’s primary breadwinner.  He is now forced to apply for disability, struggling to support his family and is having a hard time meeting his children’s needs.  Donations and proceeds from the fundraiser are needed to help Officer Green support his family and fulfill the promises he made to his children to properly educate them and allow them to continue to participate in school activities and sports. Donations can also be made on GoFundMe at www.gofundme.com/fundraiser-for-officer-milton-green

The fundraiser at Montrey’s Cigar Lounge, 401 South Florissant Road in Ferguson, will feature cigar specials, 50/50 raffle, auction and live painting by artist Micah Shelton.  Food, beverages and cigars will be available for purchase and Montrey’s will donate up to 15 percent of sales. 100 percent of all proceeds will benefit Officer Green and his family. For more information, call (314) 478-8140 or email [email protected].
